Firefly leads the way again and is proud to introduce another industry first,
the Firefly Recycling Program for deteriorating cable protectors.

The Firefly Recycling Program is designed to give organizations with higher volumes of polyurethane cable protectors, such as studios, rental houses, hotels, amusement parks, municipalities and utilities, an avenue to recycle their aging inventory.  The Firefly Recycling Program provides an alternative to disposing of these products in the trash, avoiding their eventual arrival in a landfill, and the obvious negative effects they have on our environment when disposed of in this way.

Under the Firefly Recycling Program these organizations will receive a discount of twenty  dollars ($20.00) off of the per unit list price for the purchase of a new five-channel Firefly cable protector for every qualified brand of five-channel cable protector returned to Firefly for recycling on a one-for-one basis.  The minimum allowable quantity for recycling is 40 pieces.  All cable protector products returned for recycling must be either cast or reaction injection molded (RIM) polyurethane products and must be shipped freight prepaid to the Firefly plant prior to shipment of your order for Firefly products.  A completed Firefly Recycling Program Credit Voucher must accompany your shipment and will be verified by Firefly.

The products returned to Firefly for recycling will be disassembled then shipped to our recycling partner’s facility.  Some of the eventual uses of this material may include repurposing it as filler compound in the molding of other products, the grinding of it for use as roadbed, or for use as material for high school and college field tracks.

If your inventory of cable protectors is beginning to show signs of aging, than this program offers the perfect solution to replace and dispose of this tired inventory in a conscientious way.   Not only will you be doing something good for the environment, but you will be receiving a discount on our award winning Firefly LED illuminated cable protection products.  Qualified deterioration includes such conditions as torn, faded or discolored lids, and/or broken connectors or crumbling and pitted ramps.
